  • If you are between the ages of 14 and 30, like to sing and are self motivated, Here's How to Join Us!

  • If you are reading this and you are not between the ages of 14 and 30, that’s too bad but if you know someone that fits the above description be sure to pass the message along.

The O YA CHORUS is a premier Youth A Cappella Chorus very much in demand throughout the province of Ontario. Started in 2009 as the Ontario Contingent of the Cross Canada Chorus they have attained a SUPERIOR rating at the Barbershop Harmony Society International Youth Festivals held in Tampa, Florida in 2010, Las Vegas, Nevada 2011 and Tucson, Arizona 2012.

Under the Skillful Direction of Jordan Travis and Assistant Director Shawn Oakes, the O YA Chorus and watchful eye of Education Co ordinator Dan Austin they hold rehearsals in various areas of the province throughout the year. Upon auditioning and acceptance as a member , you will have access to the current repertoire and learning tracks under the members only section of this website.

There is no fee for membership. All members are self motivated to learn their music on their own and arrive at the scheduled rehearsals and shows ready to perform. The O YA Chorus is sponsored in part by the Ontario District of the Barbershop Harmony Society and Sing Canada Harmony. The O YA Chorus is an officially recognized operating group in the Ontario District.

Prospective members should fill out the registration form on this web site and will be granted access to the members-only audition materials.

Throughout the year the O YA Chorus will be available and looking for opportunities to perform on Chapter Shows and other venues, with a 20-30 minute show package of 6 to 8 songs, plus quartets for a nominal fee to support the chorus.
